Mongolian Horse
The Mongolian horse ( Mongolian, mori or mor' ) is the native horse breed of Mongolia and the Mongol people, and the breed is purported to be largely unchanged since the time of Genghis Khan . Nomads living in the traditional Mongol fashion still hold more than 3 million animals, outnumbering the country's human inhabitants. Despite the small size, Mongolians reject the term "ponies".

In Mongolia, the horses live outdoors all year (at 30°C in summer down to -40°C in winter) and search for food on their own. The mare's milk is processed into the national beverage Airag, and some animals are slaughtered for meat. Other than that, they serve as riding animals, both for the daily work of the nomads and in horse racing.

Miniature Horse
Miniature Horses are found all over the world and come in various colors and coat patterns. The designation of miniature horse is determined by the height of the animal, which, depending on the particular registry involved, is usually less than 34-38 inches (82-91 cm) as measured at the withers . [1] [2]

Miniature horses are friendly and interact well with people. For this reason they are often kept as family pets. They are also trained as service animals, akin to guide dogs or assistance dogs for people with disabilities. [3] However, while miniature horses can be trained to work indoors, they are still real horses and are healthier when allowed to live outdoors (with proper shelter and room to run) when not working with humans. [4]

They are generally quite hardy, often living longer on average than some full-sized horse breeds; the average life span of miniature horses is from 25 to 35 years. [5] More Information

In 1971, the United States Congress recognized Mustangs as “living symbols of the historic and pioneer spirit of the West, which continue to contribute to the diversity of life forms within the Nation and enrich the lives of the American people.”

Muraközi Horse or Muraközi ló (Hungary)
The Murakoz, Hungary's heavy draft horse, was developed as a breed at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century on the farms around the Mura River. The foundation stock was native Hungarian mares (known as Mir-Insulan), Ardennes, Percherons, Norikers (from Austria), and some Hungarian half-bred stallions.

The Murakoz was very popular with farmers and was used extensively by the army in both world wars. Today, it is still used on the land, although its numbers have dwindled.

In the late 15th century and in the early 16th century, the governor of Monopoli kept a stock of Murgese stallions and kept several hundred brood mares in order to provide horses for the army. However the old breed died out and the breed was recreated in the 1920's as a light draft horse. You can breed a Murgese mare with a Thouroughbred or a Warmblood stallion to get a more quality horse for riding. They are 148-164cm tall.

National Show Horse
The National Show Horse , founded in the 1980s, is a cross between an American Saddlebred and an Arabian. Or a combination between an American Saddlebred, Arabian, and National Show Horse blood. Both mares and stallions must be registered with their appropriate registries. Arabian and Saddlebred stallions, however, must be nominated and approved by the NSHR board of directors. Although any combination of these three breeds may be used, there must be at least 25% Arabian blood in the horse to be registered, up to 99% Arabian blood.

The horses combine the beauty of the Arabian with the flashiness of the Saddlebred. The resulting horse has the high-set, upright, long and swan-like neck of the Saddlebred. The neck should not have a pronounced crest. The head is usually refined and small, with small ears and either or straight or concave profile. The horses are close-coupled with a level topline and have a very deep, laid back shoulder. The tail carriage is very high. The National Show Horse has short cannons in front, and long, sloping pasterns.

The breed is usually used for saddle seat riding. They are flashy park horses, with high-stepping action and a very elevated front end. A versatile breed, they can also be used for jumping, endurance, dressage, or western riding. They are very friendly, willing to work, and energetic. They can be any color.
