Lake Country dog collars will soften to a wonderful, almost buttery-softness. Made of full grain bridle leather adorned with antiqued brass hardware. The edges are stitched and beveled to assure comfort. This collar’s unfinished edges lend a pleasing contrast to the rest of the collar. Antiqued brass buckle and dee-ring. Matching leashes are available.

Optional: Add a brass or nickel silver dog collar nameplate. Nameplate is 2 1/2" x 3/8" solid satin brass or stain nickel silver nameplate includes up to 2 lines of engraving. Max 17 characters per line. Second line of text is a little smaller than first line. Mounts with 2 custom Chicago screws (2 screws included with nameplate). The dog collar nameplates come with with 1/8" pre-drilled holes. Choose your font and enter your engraving information above. the engraved nameplate comes with either a round end or ornamental end. Plate is thin enough to allow you to bend the plate to the curve of your dogs neck.

Nameplate Installation: We are happy to install the nameplate on the collar for you. If you choose this option the collar cannot be returned or exchanged so please make sure to double the size of your dogs neck. If you choose to not have the nameplate installed it will come with easy to follow installation instructions.

* Font Information: We will engrave your text EXACTLY how you type it in on your order. So if you use upper and lower case letters that is how it will be engraved. If you use all CAPITAL letters that is how it will be engraved. Except for cursive, tango, edwardian script and script as they are only available in Upper and Lower case. So no matter how you type those fonts they will be engraved in upper and lower case. If you want capital letters on one line and lower case on the other just type in your text exactly how you want it and that is how it be engraved. Again we engrave EXACTLY how you type it in! Feel free to email us with any questions.

* If you add an engraved nameplate please make sure to double check your spelling before placing your order. You can also double check your spelling after your order has been placed by viewing the invoice that you will receive via email, if you find any errors please email us right away! Engraved nameplates are non-returnable. If you have us install the nameplate on the dog collar it can not be returned or exchanged. If you are unsure of the collar size we suggest you do not have the plate installed on the dog collar.

Sizing: Even though you can expect some degree of adjustability with your new dog collar, it is important to measure your dog carefully. 

If you are satisfied with the fit of your dog's current collar, measure that collar from the center bar of the buckle to the farthest hole. Our collars are sized from the center bar of the buckle to the farthest hole (See diagram above).

If this is your dog's first collar or you need a collar in a different size, measure around the dog's neck just as you would like the new collar to fit. The collar shouldn't be so tight that it will cause discomfort or loose enough to slide over the dog's head.

Other things to consider: Remember that puppies grow quickly, so it is important to check the tightness of your dog collars. Inspect and replace a collar or a leash as soon as it shows signs of wear that threatens the integrity of the collar/leash.
